MORE INFORMATIONS ABOUT CHATEAU LATOUR 1945 :
Created in around 1680, the Château Latour vineyards is one of the oldest in the Médoc.
There is a central plot known as “the Enclos” which consists of 47 hectares of old vines that are maintained with extreme care, as they are the ones that are used to make the grand vin of Château Latour.
Another 18 hectares of external plots, consisting of vines that are less than ten years-old and potentially declassified plots are used to produce the property’s second wine called : “Les Forts de Latour”.
Latour’s wines show exemplary consistency, whatever the quality of the vintage.
Firm, tannic and concentrated in their youth, they require long cellaring to reveal the full depth of their power and extraordinary richness. When it arrives to perfect maturity, the Château Latour wine has an incredible bouquet of blackcurrants, hazelnuts and leather.
To conclude, we can say that The Grand vin of Château Latour is a monumental wine.
